The Summer Syrian Arabic immersion program 2025 is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose when they would like to participate. Starting on the 1st day of each month (June, July, August, and September), there are three 4-week sessions available. A Wide Range of Arabic Dialects
Our Summer Intensive Arabic program in Syria covers a wide range of Arabic dialects, including:

In addition, the Study Syrian Arabic School also offers each dialect in varying levels of difficulty, including starters, beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners. With 80 hours of Arabic language instruction per monthly session (4 weeks), you will study your desired dialect for four hours a day, five days a week.
A small Group Setting
Our summer intensive programs in Syria are provided in small group settings made up of 2-5 students to ensure the quality of the course. Small courses create an active learning environment, providing each student with numerous opportunities to speak and fully develop their language skills. Living with a Syrian Host Family
As part of our summer Syrian Arabic program, you will be offered accommodation with a local Syrian host family for the duration of your study in Damascus. These homestays provide an unmatched opportunity to practice your Arabic with local Syrian people, including women, children, and youth. You may even get the chance to attend weddings and other cultural events with your host family.

This Arabic Summer Immersion Program in Syria is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners, and mature students with an academic background. However, English-language fluency is also require,d and you must be between 16-70 years old to apply.
Language Proficiency Level
We offer a full Arabic curriculum (with books and all course materials included), at six different levels to accommodate students of all language experiences and proficiencies, including:
● Starter Arabic Courses
For those without prior knowledge of the Arabic language, this course provides a foundation in reading and writing Arabic, as well as understanding and engaging in simple, daily conversations.
● Beginner Arabic Courses
The beginner Arabic courses are offered at two levels: Beginner I and Beginner II. These Arabic lessons are designed for participants who already possess a basic knowledge of Arabic and wish to develop further their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.
● Intermediate Arabic Courses
The intermediate Arabic courses are also offered at two levels: Intermediate I and Intermediate II. In addition to improving your reading, writing, and listening skills, these lessons provide you with the opportunity to engage in Arabic conversations with native speakers.
● Advanced Arabic Courses

Of course! Students in all of our Arabic Summer Immersion Program are free to add additional Arabic language hours. Each hour costs 25 euros.
